Care Ministry

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth.”  -1 John 3:18

Touching the hearts of those who need us by sharing a hug, sending a card, making a phone call, taking a meal to someone who has been ill or just had a baby, or just stopping by for a short visit with someone who may be lonely is what Jesus expects of us as His followers.

Prayer Quilt Ministry

We offer prayer quilts to those who have been hospitalized or ill as our way of giving them comfort during their time of healing.  The prayer quilts are beautifully hand-made by women in our church with strings attached so that everyone has the opportunity to tie the strings in a knot as they pray for the person who will be receiving the quilt.  We also give prayer quilts in times of joy such as the birth or adoption of a baby.  We have just extended our Prayer Quilt Ministry to include, not only members, but members families and friends.

In Times of Need

When our members find themselves in times of need we are here to help.  If someone needs a ride to the doctors, if someone is just returning home from the hospital to recover from surgery or having a baby and need meals brought in for a short time, they just need to notify the church and we will be there to help.  Members need to notify the church office at 419-874-1911 if they have been hospitalized as the hospitals no longer inform us when one of our members is a patient.  If you wish the Pastor to visit, please have a family member give us a call and let us know where you have been hospitalized.

United Methodist Men Manservants

The United Methodist Men (UMM) has a group of men who are willing to help our senior members with household repairs, yard work, etc.  Any member who is 60 years and older may contact the UMM Group and help will be on the way.

In Times of Loss

Our Bereavement Committee is here to assist with funeral refreshments, when requested.  If your loved ones funeral or memorial service is being handled by our church our Bereavement Committee may be contacted to assist with refreshments following the service.
